Food Cravings

To be frank, I wanted to take this week off blogging again, but I promised you guys a post so here is one. My whole aura has been drained of energy for two weeks now, and I can’t bring myself to recharge no matter how many hours of sleep I get. My head is nowhere near the game; not physically nor mentally, and even emotionally all over the place. I’ve been trying to take as much time off as I can, but my head is still lost floating between the clouds.
Speaking of clouds, the only thing I’ve lately been enjoying is the weather. I’ve finally ditched the winter clothes and on with the summer clothes now. I look for spring flowers everywhere I go now and it literally brightens my day whenever I spot some – the little things, ha? Last week, I put on my spring-colored shoes that I forgot I owned and my feet hadn’t been happier in a long while – again, the little things. However, as much as I’m loving the light clothes and shoes, as much as I worry about the badly needed shopping trip for summer clothes. It’s that time of the year again where veiled women struggle to dress fashionably and decently… *smacks head*
While I’ve been trying to retain my functional self, food has been my companion. I had so pleasurably indulged on my current favorite chocolate dessert that lives up to its name, Chocolate heaven, twice. It’s literally heaven in a cup; a mix of milk chocolate, cookies, brownies, and caramel. *mouth drooling at just the memory of it* Take this heavenly dessert back home where you put it in the microwave for 15 seconds or so, then you top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and feast on it! Your taste buds will be delighted, and your serotonin will go up the roof. The only bad thing is that it ends too soon, which is probably why I had two of it (and still craved for more).

My food cravings have been going crazy for literally everything. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve a sweet tooth and you go dieting for one month and a half. Don’t get me wrong, I willingly chose to follow a healthy lifestyle but I miss freely snacking on fat and sugar rich food. The free cheat meal is never enough because once you get that chocolate heaven in your mouth, you forget all the reasons why it’s a forbidden fruit.
So that’s basically where I stand in life now; lost in my thoughts and food cravings. Hopefully next weekly post, I’d have gotten back in the game fulfilling more food cravings as I go.
