Cheesy Potato Chips

Updated: Aug 30, 2019

I think it’s going to be a summer full of baking for me, and I don’t think you guys will mind as long as I share with you the good stuff. Throughout my online time I come across quick and easy recipes, so I believe it’s time to try them out! The other day, I tried a Nutella Brownies recipe but it was a total failure… My heart is still broken about all the Nutella jars I used for that recipe. I found another recipe though so I’m going to give it another try. Fingers crossed that the new recipe is the charm! Follow me on Snapchat to watch me bake live. (Username: @OMNsnaps)

Today’s recipe has been inspired by YouTubers, Roman Atwood and his girlfriend Brittney Smith. If you’ve been reading my blog for quite some time now, you’d know that I watch those YouTubers on daily basis. In their daily vlogs, I have seen them make the recipe I’m sharing today a couple of times before and it always looked appetizing. They had me drooling over my laptop (not literally haha)! I wrote the recipe down months ago and I finally gave it a try last week.

This recipe is so easy and quick to make and also a healthy replacement for French fries, to some extent. It is literally your go-to side dish for a barbecue party or a snack bar or even next to a grilled lunch meal. Everyone will praise you to the sky once they have a bite of this cheesy potato heaven, and they’ll be craving more. Trust me!

YOU WILL NEED…

Potatoes Mozzarella or Mix Cheese Bacon or Minced Meat Butter

Get as many potatoes as you want, clean them and slice them into chips. Make sure that the chips aren’t too thin so they won’t get burnt and aren’t too thick as well so they’re cooked quickly. Brush the butter over both sides of the potato chips, arrange them side by side in a glass tray then put it in the oven for 10 minutes. When the 10 minutes are over, flip the potato chips to their other side and put them in the oven for another 10 minutes. When the time is over, add bacon or minced meat or whatever topping you’d like then add a generous amount of cheese that you’d happily indulge in. Put the tray in the oven for a good 5-10 minutes until the cheese completely melts over. Serve it hot so you can enjoy the cheese pull!

I have been trying to come up with a shorter name for this recipe other than Baked Potatoes with Mix Cheese and Minced Meet. That’s a too long name that fails to reflect the yumminess of the recipe, don’t you agree? For now, I will settle on Cheesy Potato Chips. Like I said, it is a 20-minute easy recipe that will win you the love of many tummies, including yours! Give it a try yourself, let me know if you like it and suggest a signature name for the meal in the comments below.

Heads up: This meal will be eaten in an amount of time less than it took you to make.
