A Hopeless Romantic

Updated: Aug 27, 2019

I’m a hopeless romantic, and there is nothing wrong about that. I’ve grown up watching romantic movies, reading romantic books, listening to love songs, and up till today I still do. I believe in love, and I believe that a life with no love is no life at all – a cliché thing to say but I believe in it with all my heart.

I’m a hopeless romantic, and there is nothing wrong about that. I love listening to real-life love stories; whether they’re a success or a failure. I love listening to couple stories from beginning to end (if any); how they met, how their story began, how their relationship was like, how they encountered life together, their ups and downs, their highlights …etc. I love living a love story that isn’t mine and experience feelings that aren’t mine either just for a brief shining moment. I love what love does to my heart – an indescribable feeling that is out of this world.

I’m a hopeless romantic, and there is nothing wrong about that. Yesterday, I finished reading a book that turned out to narrate the most beautiful love story ever. And as much as I don’t want to share this book with anyone, as much as I want to keep this emotionally charged masterpiece under the rug for my own pleasure only, the book is too beautiful not to share. Everything about the book made the whole reading experience unforgettable! I completely connected with this book mentally, emotionally, and maybe even physically. No book ever has made me experience close-to-real-life love emotions just like this one did. My heart beat faster and harder as I carried on reading the book. My heart skipped beats, and my lungs went breathless as I dived more into the book. Feelings originated in my heart and I felt them being pumped out to my whole body like how one feels a lump in their throat when they’re about to cry. My emotional threshold went way low with this book because I felt every word in every place of my body. I loved it so much that it so easily became my favorite book ever! It’s “Maybe Someday” by Colleen Hoover.

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

I’m a hopeless romantic, and there is nothing wrong about that. My week was entirely about me falling deeper in love with “Maybe Someday” each day of it. That was my sixth read of the year, and because I think Colleen Hoover is my current favorite author, I’ll be reading another book of hers called “Maybe Not”. I haven’t started it yet because I’m afraid I’ll be hooked right away while I’m currently sitting for midterm exams, so we don’t want that to happen or I’ll fail them. I hope your week was filled with love – whatever kind it was, and you overall enjoyed it. Let me know in the comments below your favorite book of all time; I’d love to check it out! Enjoy your weekend, beautiful people. Cheers!
